Himekawa Mizuki is the female representative for the month of July. She is a goddess candidate attending Selene Academy, and is a member of the unit Seleas. Her producer is Hitoshizuku×Yama△, and she is voiced by Ishigami Shizuka.

Mizuki is a physically well-endowed young woman with chin-length deep blue hair and bright yellow eyes. She also has a braided lock of hair on the left side of her head.

Mizuki is seen as the gentle older sister figure for everyone. She has a keen mind and have a refined air about her. She never seemed to be agitated at anything, always behaves elegantly and earned the trust of the teachers as the reliable Selene Academy's student council president.[1] She may appear to be the straight-laced type, but in actuality Mizuki likes to be a little playful and pull pranks and usually her main victim would be her best friend Yuno.[2]

Mizuki's family is a well-known noble family in the Moon society. They hailed Mizuki as the main house's princess, but she doesn't let herself affected by it and maintains a friendly personality to everyone.[2]

Terase YunoEdit

Mizuki and Yuno have become best friends since they enrolled in the academy. Their relationship began when they became curious of each other's personality, and when they tried to have a conversation, turned out that they hit it off pretty well. Both acknowledged the things they lacked in themselves but present in the other. Yuno often becomes the main target whenever Mizuki is feeling mischievous.[2][3]

  • Her name reflects many of her traits:
    • Her surname, Himekawa (姫川), literally translates to "princess river".
      • It probably alludes to the story of Tanabata, which involves a princess (Orihime) needing to cross a river to meet her lover.
    • Her given name, Mizuki (瑞希), contains the kanji for "auspicious" and "hope" or "request".
      • Probably relates to her fanclub symbolism, as the 'Mizu' of her name can also be written with the kanji 水 (water).
  • Similarly, her and Fuduki Kai's official fanclub also reflects their position as July representatives:
    • Their official fanclub name, "mare", is Latin for the word, sea.
      • Marine Day (海の日, Umi no Hi) is a Japanese national holiday celebrated on the third Monday in July.[4]
        • Their fanclub motif, a sailing ship, as well as their crest, an ocean wave, represents this as well.
